IT Daily Documentation – why need this?

For programmers like me face a lot of bugs or something that had a lot of steps and took a long time. Sometimes you have to do it again three months later. And at that moment you completely forgot everything you did.

After I certified with Google IT Support Professional Certificate, I found that it’s so important to document the work you do. Documentation might seem like a time suck, but it’s a total time saver.

This website mainly stores my IT documentation, and you also read my document to figure out what you need to do to fix the problem.

The documentation format based on the Process Documentation video on Technical Support Fundamentals course-

  • Title
  • Tag(s) related to the problem
  • Clear problem statement
  • Background information
  • Exact instruction on how to fix the issue (1. … 2. …)

I try my best to follow the content structure but sometimes the problem & solution too simple so there will only have Title and Solution.
